Reading Notes: Cochinango (Filipino Tales)

Cochinango - So this story is basically told from Cochinango's point of view. I want to tell the story from the princess's point of view. I may make the king the villain. The king just volunteers the princess's hand in marriage. I feel like this happens other stories too. The winner gets to marry the princess, but how does the princess feel about this? I'm going to let the princess choose on her own who to marry.

Which man will she choose?
